Alex Jablonowski Chairman

Alex spent 30 years with Barclays Group worldwide, latterly as CEO of Barclays international and offshore operations. He was also a member of the Executive Board of the UK Bank, the major operating unit within Barclays and also of the Barclays Group Credit Committee. He then became CEO of a London registered merchant and private bank with a significant commercial property and funds management businesses. Alex now holds a number of director and advisory positions with UK government bodies dealing with infrastructure and transport projects. He chairs a number of government audit committees and is Chairman of a Swiss based investment and corporate finance boutique and two expanding software companies. As well as a strong governance background, he brings to enVision a lifetime’s experience in lending to property and construction projects across the world in both emerging and developed markets. Mark is a qualified civil engineer with over 20 years of experience at managing and delivering multi million pound infrastructure and building projects in the commercial, residential and leisure sectors. He has worked at project manager and director levels for Cyril Sweett, Eurobenefits, Stanhope Properties and Cementation International. He has extensive international experience having managed major projects in Africa, the Middle and Far East and the former Eastern Bloc and Russian Confederation, including Bulgaria, Romania and Kazakhstan. Apart from his technical knowledge and streetwise expertise in property projects in emerging markets, he brings to enVision a practical capability to control local contractors’ construction methods and disciplines in order to ensure quality and delivery, while overseeing the programme model.

Justin is a successful entrepreneur having managed businesses and large projects in the software industry across Europe. He has founded, grown and sold two companies in the Information Management sector. Latterly he was responsible for European sales for a worldwide software company that allowed him to develop a strong network of contacts in Central and Eastern Europe. For the past 3 years he has successfully developed his own property interests in Bulgaria and sourced and managed projects for other investors through his own local development company and property team and has recently based himself and his family full time in Varna, Bulgaria. Apart from hands on expertise in sales, marketing and project management, he brings to enVision a business drive and ambition based on practical experience of the opportunities, pitfalls and risks of delivering property projects in the post Communist world.

Michael Shaughnessy Project Sourcing and Management

Mike is a qualified engineer whose experience spans design, facility management,
financial modelling, civil engineering, property management to property development.
Having started his working life with IBM and Boston Scientific Corp, nearly 10 years
ago he started developing his own property portfolio in Ireland, UK, Spain and Bulgaria
and is currently involved in a multimillion euro project in the Costa del Sol and

Kalin has over 12 years diverse construction experience, in Bulgaria and UK, having touched all facets of construction project development including land/site acquisition, design and planning, site management and project controls, project commissioning and facility management. Kalin has a Masters in Structural Engineering and further Masters in Construction Engineering and Management from a leading US university. Kalin worked in London for 3 years in various engineering and management positions working with some of the largest architects and building contractors in the world such as ISG Plc, HOK the world renowned architects and Bovis Lend Lease one of the top 10 building contractors in the world. Kalin brings a solid understanding of western construction methods and standards, and compliments this with up to date knowledge and experience about Bulgarian planning and building control regulations.

Jordan Krastev Special Advisor

Jordan is the owner of one of the largest construction companies on the Black Sea Coast in Bulgaria. Before setting out on his own, he managed and ran several state owned building contractors that took on Soviet funded infrastructure and development projects all over the Eastern Bloc, Middle East and Africa. Apart from his detailed understanding of the realities of the Bulgarian property and construction sectors, he brings to enVision a network of political and local government connections in Bulgaria, but also throughout the Balkans and former Eastern Bloc that will assist the Fund in selecting opportunities, partners and contractors.

John qualified in economics and offshore finance (ICSA), and has been working in the offshore industry for over 12 years. He is currently Managing Director of Sovereign Corporate Services in Dubai. Prior to joining Sovereign, John worked with Helvetic Fund Administration Ltd, a privately owned fund administration company, specializing in setting up collective investment schemes and mutual funds in offshore and onshore jurisdictions. He joined Sovereign in 2004 and took up his present appointment in July 2006. John brings extensive offshore funds administration and tax experience.

Alan is a Chartered Accountant and career banker with over 20 years’ senior level experience in the financial services industry in both the Bahamas and the UK. He has worked for banks and professional accounting firms, including ten years as Executive Director of Ansbacher (Bahamas) Limited. In 2001, he founded Sterling Group, which offers a range of investment fund, corporate and administrative services in the Bahamas. Alan currently acts as a director of three banks and numerous investment funds. He is also a director of Sterling Management Ltd., the fund’s administrator. Alan brings strong governance and offshore administration experience.
